Book Love

I have a book fetish. I'm a bibliophile. But not just ANY book will do it for me. While I do love autographed, first-edition classics, it's the one-of-a-kind hand-made books that really make me salivate.
I've also noticed that some artists are doing amazing re-covers on the classics, and when I win the lottery you can expect to find some of the editions above on my shelves.
When I started writing my childrens book, Lucy Clayfoot, I wanted to keep an illustrated notebook of ideas, both written and visual, to refer to as I progressed with the writing. I was inspired by authors like Rowling, Dahl, and Lewis Carroll (See a fascimile copy of his original Alice In Wonderland below).

So I bought a journal (In hindsight, I should have constructed it myself) and I continue to use it as a companion book for my ideas as I write Lucy Clayfoot on my computer. It's one of my prized possessions and there are very few people that have seen it before.

On the inside cover are three motivational quotes that spoke to me for various reasons...
"Wrap your dream in a blue cloud cloth away from the too-rough fingers of the world" ~ Langston Hughes.
"There's nothing more painful than a dream unrealized" ~ Stephen King's mother.
"Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it" ~ Steve Alten
